Counseling Rates and Fees
$150 for intake interview and evaluation
$120 per 60-minute individual, couple, or family session
$90 per 45 minute individual, couple, or family session
$60 per 30-minute individual, couple, or family session
$45 per person in a 60-minute group therapy session
Insurance
Your health insurance or employee benefit plan may pay for your mental health services. Please check your coverage carefully and consider the following questions:
- What are my mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, has it been met?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- How many therapy sessions does my plan cover annually?
- How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Currently I am an in-network provider for AETNA, BLUE CROSS & BLUE SHIELD, CIGNA, COMPSYCH, MULTIPLAN, OPTUM, UMR, and UNITED HEALTH CARE.

If needed, you can receive a “superbill” (a detailed receipt) which you can file with your insurance to receive reimbursement for your out-of-network insurance benefits. You may also find it helpful to use the App Reimbursify to file claims with your provider for out-of-network benefits.
Payment
Payment for service is due prior to any telemental health sessions and on the day of your appointment for traditional face to face sessions. Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted.
Cancellation Policy
At least a 24-hour advance notice for cancellation is required to avoid being charged a $50.00 fee. Understand that most insurance companies do not pay for missed sessions, and therefore, this fee is the client’s responsibility.
Client Records and Court Appearances
Clients are welcome to pay for a copy of their client records. Although involvement in court cases is not a typical part of this practice, clients may pay for a written summary of their client contact and progress to take to court (i.e., a court report). The following fees are involved for client records or court cases:
- Copy of client records – $25
- Copy of client records with a written summary of client contact or progress in lieu of going to court (i.e., a court report) – $150.00
- Testifying in court – $480.00 for therapist’s cost of being out of the office for up to four hours in addition to any travel expenses
Consulting and Team Building Fees
Consulting and team building fees vary depending on the project.
